But, in recent times the original buildings have become 'barnacled' with unsightly additions and the perimeter closed-off to the wider public. The film uses a combination of footage, archive material and motion graphics collaged together referencing the rich history of Olympia. It explores the recent decline of the venue, the major issues facing it today and finally the bold new proposals from Heatherwick’s design studio.
