Heatherwick Studio was hired to re-imagine The Olympia Exhibition Centre in West London as a cultural hub for music, film and art in a £1bn project. We created a film to explain the concept and generate public engagement.

The Brief
‘Create a short film to explore the dynamic history of the site and Heatherwick’s plans for its future.’
Our Response
We created a film that uses a combination of footage, archive material and motion graphics collaged together referencing the rich history of Olympia. The narrative explores the recent decline of the venue, the major issues facing it today and finally the bold new proposals from Heatherwick Studio.
Asking the question, ‘what if Olympia could become more welcoming?’ the film highlights the central plan to provide more public space around the centre and create a new community for the site.
