We are excited to announce that digital agency Rancon has officially joined Squint/Opera. Founded in 2002, Rancon has 10 specialist software developers and has created over 100 apps, games and VR experiences for major clients including Sony, HP, BBC and Channel 4. Rancon apps have been number one in over 16 countries.
Squint/Opera and Rancon have been working together successfully for a few years now, so the merger felt like the next logical step. Having a mix of game designers, film makers, animators, graphic designers and VFX artists under one roof allows us to go beyond the possibilities of traditional agencies. Over the last eighteen months together we have delivered five digital exhibitions for museums, built two large-scale immersive sales suites for developers in New York and Hong Kong, launched a ground-breaking infrastructure planning map for the GLA and 5 virtual reality films and visualisations for architects.
Squint/Opera’s renowned design and storytelling skills combined with Rancon’s track record for delivering award-winning digital products across multiple platforms will mean an expanded offer for clients and many exciting opportunities to develop R&D-led products and services that will disrupt the market. We are already working on several VR products and believe these will be real game changers.
